Aged with a 4.5 billion-year-old meteorite from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, the world’s first meteorite infused wine was created by a British winemaker and astronomer, The Drinks Business reports. Dubbed Meteorito, Ian Hutcheon concocted the cosmic Cabernet Sauvignon from his very own mountain vineyard in the Cachapoal Valley, Chile, according to a report by Forbes. After the grapes were picked, the fruit fermented for 25 days before undergoing a year-long malolactic fermentation that allowed the meteorite to marinate in the wine.
